Research Overview

Dermorphin is a frog-derived heptapeptide employed as a tool compound in μ-opioid receptor research. In experimental systems it is used to probe MOR selectivity and potency, downstream Gi/o-coupled GPCR signaling, cAMP inhibition, β-arrestin pathways, and mechanisms underlying nociception and neuroplasticity in vitro and in vivo laboratory models.
