Research Overview

VIP is a 28–amino acid neuropeptide used as a tool compound in vascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine research. In experimental systems it is applied to probe VPAC1/VPAC2 receptor–mediated cAMP signaling, smooth-muscle relaxation, airway and vascular tone regulation, and broader immunomodulatory pathways in vitro and in vivo models.
